This becomes relatively easy once you find a compass. Your first task, as indicated by the PDA, is to find Delta Island. However, if you pull out a flare and hold it in front of them, they freak out and run away from you for a little bit. You can totally get it back though, it just means chasing after them a bit, which is annoying and wastes time. The sea monkeys are kleptomaniacs and will gank your stuff. Note that the kelp forest is a bad place to hold your stuff in your hand. Your goals right now are your basic survival tools. You'll find that the items you have blueprints for can be pinned to the top-right in your PDA by clicking on them in the blueprints tab, a useful feature when hunting for materials. Get to your lifepod, take a look at your fabricator. Then, follow the northern glacial wall (That's to your right when you're looking at your lifepod) until you find a small cave, which will have some silver and gold. As soon as you hit the water, look for an indentation in the ground. Once you have your stuff, you'll find the drop pod on your HUD. The weather in this game is a serious thing. You won't have to worry about getting cold, since standing next to your now-burning ship will warm you up and the meteors coming down don't actually paste you, they're mostly to stress you out. Once you've landed, you'll find some food and water to start you off scattered around the ship. This map will provide direction/orientation for this guide, but BEWARE! It marks spoilers if you turn those on! Touchdown Nobody ever told Robin she was great at forward planning. Which is what convinced Robin Ayou to get into a drop shuttle with a lifepod with basically nothing, then fire herself down onto an ocean planet where the only place that she could investigate was a tiny little patch of barely-even-land and pray she can survive long enough to find a way to get off the planet. The entrance to the cave is across a man-made bridge north of where you arrive in the Glacial Basin.Few things are worse than not knowing what happened to a loved one. Find the Frozen Creature and get the Kharaa Sample. If this happens, use the "warpforward" console command to get out.) (Note that there is a bug in which you can get stuck in the Bunker. The PDA is required for triggering the Enzyme 42 dialogue later on. It's roughly between the 2 man-made bridges. Its rough location is in a tunnel 150m north of where you first arrive at the Glacial Basin. I recommend bringing plenty of beacons to mark locations. Note that the Glacial Basin in EA8 is huge and a poorly-designed maze.Doing so without the signal will prevent you from being able to pick up the Kharaa Sample, which might break your savegame. Glacial Basin: Make sure you actually get the " Crashed Escape Ship Signal - Entrance to Glacial Basin" signal before heading there.Task 2) Get Colleague's PDA and send Kharaa Sample It's on a tiny iceberg in the SW corner of the map floating in the sea. It should magically break, and you should be able to fix it afterwards.Ĥ) Visit Marge at her Greenhouse. Visit the Glacial Basin and then return to the Tower. If you're unable to fix it with a repair tool due to a bug, you need to purposely trigger another bug to make it break. This time, you don't even need to be holding a ship wreck salvage.Ģ) Visit Marge at her base under the Tree Spires biomeģ) Revisit the Communications Tower and fix it. Here's how the trigger the 2 new Marge cutscenes:ġ) Visit Marge on Rocket Island. Most of the story content from EA8 and earlier have been removed. Beyond that, there really isn't any new story. There's a new introduction and 2 new Marge cutscenes. it's story is so incomplete it's not even worth writing a walkthrough for it. For Early Access 11 and newer, visit this guide:Īs for EA9 specifically.
